Diving Tips for beginners
1. Prepare well
Diving is not the same as other sports such as running where it is enough to put on a pair of running shoes and start running. In diving you need a previous training with a diving instructor to guide you in your first steps. At Koh Tao diving we offer you a complete catalog of diving courses that cover all stages of learning.2. Never dive alone
It is the golden rule of diving. Diving alone is a temerity that even the most experienced professionals tend to avoid. Immerse yourself with at least one person and stay within 10 feet of her. It is also important to communicate frequently by signing with your dive buddies to indicate that everything is going well.3. Do not hold your breath
When a person immerses himself in water he has a natural tendency to hold his breath. It's almost a reflex, even though you're wearing a diving gear that gives you the oxygen you need. We say this because holding your breath when you do not need it can cause problems like lung injuries or panic attacks.4. Ascend more slowly than your bubbles
Our body does not tolerate sudden changes in pressure well. That is why whenever you are underwater and want to ascend you must do it slowly. For this, a usual rule in diving is to climb more slowly than the column of bubbles that is issued with each exhalation of air.5. Equalize your ears
The pressure change that occurs when diving is especially noticeable in the ears and can be a very annoying feeling. To avoid it you have to resort to equalization, which consists of making the pressure of the ears equal to the water pressure (you will feel a small plop).6. Keep your diving goggles clean
It is possible that when you are under water you have trouble seeing through the diving goggles. This happens because the lenses are fogged by the temperature difference between the water and your body. To avoid it you can rub the inside of the lens with a finger wet in saliva. Primitive but effective.7. Do not move too much
Remember that water is 800 times denser than air, so any movement will cost you more effort than on the surface and you should not tire too soon.8. Be conservative
In diving, the more conservative you are, and the safer you will be. Following the rules will keep you safe.rnFollowing these diving tips for beginners you can start without problems in this exciting hobby. Did you find them useful?
