Already much good information is out on the Internet and if you are tense and anxious and worried and maybe afraid and angry and you do not have the luxury of visiting with a mental health professional, we would recommend a bit of time pulling up various sites and using from them what information you can. For starters try http://www.ncptsd.org/disaster.html

The obvious but important things are talking with your family and friends, and visiting your church or other support organization. Don't stay glued to the news and the talking heads on T.V. Do eat right and get some exercise. At least a 20 minute walk every other day. More if at all possible. And then....quiet down... and relax.

Just relax. How many times have you heard it? It is hard to do anytime but with what we are going through and thinking about every day it can be very difficult and this is where Meditation comes in. Meditation is a way to relax. Those who have used Meditation will know immediately that this is a time to fully use this skill. And those of you who have not yet tried Meditation would be wise to use your stress and your need for relaxation as a real stimulus to begin your exploration of this very old phenomenon that the modern world is just beginning to appreciate and understand.

We have an interesting web-site at www.MantraManagerforMeditation.com that is a very good place to begin. On our site we have a "quick start guide" that can have you practicing Meditation in an hour or two, and in just a few weeks you will feel the power of Meditation and how it can give you a wonderful relaxation response. Just as with exercise you must have some discipline to make a new action into a regular habit. You must give Mediation at least 10 minutes twice daily and miss only a very occasional day, or you should not get involved.

Meditation is powerful in many ways. It is a very good way to completely relax your body and then quiet your mind. Try in now at www.MantraManagerforMeditation.com You will like it.

Paul Adams & Ken Bobzin

Author's Bio:

I learned hypnotism in the service in WWII where we used it to entertain the troops. Later I studied Meditation and Christian Science and visual imaging and every other related discipline. About 40 years ago a meditation group came through and rented a small hall and ran a small add in the paper. I was of course curious and found them to be sincere people trying to introduce the general public to Meditation. As part of the program they gave out an ancient Sanskrit formula that was used to determine a person's special mantra from their name and date of birth. Over the years it was gathering dust in a drawer until the Internet came along and I realized it could be programmed into a computer and sent out from a web-site. In all these years I have never seen it again anywhere and now we have it on www.MantraManagerforMeditation.com My partner Ken Bobzin did the computer work and does the accounting etc.
