Career builders 3 steps to success

Good fortune! Everybody prays for this one thing as long as they live. You would often wonder about the magic touch that successful people apply whenever they make a decision. A little research would tell you that most people who make success an integral part of their lives do have a secret: they work for themselves!

The real career builders are not those who get the best employment opportunity, but those who create the jobs they want for themselves. "What is that?", you would ask. "How is self-employment generated?" This is not easy; who said success comes easy? But it is a sure-fire way to achieve 100% success. Self-employment is the real answer to serious career builders.

There are of course, many ways to earn a living. Often people believe that a cushy job with a high salary is about the best that can happen to you professionally. This is true ... IF living by someone else's ideology and guidelines is your goal; if you are planning to use your life to broaden the horizons for somebody else's success; if you are happy going through your life using your talents and education just to get a salary at the end of the month.

While reading this, a question would pop up in your mind, "what other way is there?". There IS a choice and this conscious choice is the one that could fulfill all your dreams. Follow these three steps if you want to find it:

1. Set your sight on the stars - while completing your education everyone measures their success by the type of job they bag, which would propel their career to unimaginable heights. It is true in most cases the "creme de la creme" end up making their mark in some or other company as the best or the most brilliant CEO, Vice President, or President of a company.

And it leaves you to wonder? You retire one day, and you realize that without that particular designation you are just an excellent "has-been." Don't you want to always ride the success curve? For this you need to dream big - you need to apply your efforts and knowledge to advance yourself, not others. As real career builders, you need forget about big companies and enviable jobs and check out the opportunity you could build for yourself.

2. Be self-assured - not everyone can generate employment, true. Not everyone is Bill Gates or Henry Ford.

You need to look within you and ask yourself whether you want to spend your life serving others - no matter how good your "masters" would be - or do you want to join the ranks of real career builders and carve a niche for yourself by concentrating on building your own empire? Break away from stereotyped goals, count upon your education and consider the most important career change in your life: self-employment.

3. Failure is your best teacher - most opportunities are lost to people because they are afraid to fail. However, failure is the best friend you could ever have!

Check the biographies of any self-made person and count their failures. The ratio of failure to success would be defined by at least three to one. Even so you would know them because of their success. Real career builders are not afraid to fail because failure for them is what drives them on, and not what stops them. When you make success your goal you need to get out from the stale comfort of a "good job" and start your own business. You need to focus on your success rather than others. Take this one great step and the world would be at your feet.

This is not to say that everybody who starts their own enterprise as a career change would become multi-billionaire magnates, though the potential is there. It is assured though, that this would mean a lot to you - not only financially - when you work for yourself.

Self-employment is one of the best things that could happen to you because it has the ability to unlock your hidden potential and turn it into real gold. Unfortunately you will not realize your true value until you take the plunge; and you will need real conviction to take that step.

This is the way career builders spell success!
