Causes Of Teenage Acne

In teen years almost everyone has to face acne. In teen years there is a big probability that acne will attack a person. But it is thought that acne is only teen age problem that is wrong. Acne can attack you in any age. The exact cause of acne is still unknown. After so many researches it is said that acne is caused by hormonal imbalance. But there are some more causes of acne. Following are some common causes of acne.
Imbalance hormones:
During puberty, male hormones testosterone (present in both male and female) stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce more sebum oil. These over reactive sebaceous glands produces so much sebum that it clogs pores. Bacteria is trapped in these clogged pores leads to acne when dead skin cells and bacteria remains trapped.
Genetics:
It is said that genetics play an important role in acne. If one of your parent has acne then there is a chance that you will also be attacked by acne. But its not necessary that if your parents are suffering from acne then you will also. Its just a matter of probability. There is a high chances that children of acne affected parents can get acne easily.
Stress:
Stress is not a direct source of acne but it can aggravate it. Normally you have noticed that before a big event like examination or examination result, first interview in any dream firm, special meeting with someone special or wedding day, situation which leads to stress or anxiety causes new breakout on your face. It because stress increases sebum production. So try to keep your self cool and calm in those stressful situations.
Some myths about causes of acne:
There are many myths about causes of acne. People think that oily food and chocolates causes acne which is wrong. There is no connection between them. But yes some people has noticed improvement in their skin condition after stopping these foods and noticed these food aggravates skin condition so its better to avoid these foods as much as you can. Have balance diet.
It is also said that acne is caused by dirt and people wash their face again and again which spreads bacteria to other parts of skin. Dirt has no connection with acne. Washing face twice a day is good enough for acne affected skin.
