Christian Denomination

Christians can be classified into a number of denominations like Episcopalian, assemblies of god, eastern orthodoxy, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholicism, and southern Baptist. Individuals and churches within each denomination often hold dissimilar beliefs. Evangelical Christian group generally believe in repenting and asking for forgiveness of sin. Mainline Christian group consider the contributions of non-Christian religions and give value or merit to their teaching. Roman Catholic has more than a billion believers. It was founded in 380 A.D. The major founder of this denomination was Roman Bishop Leo I.
