The first step to effectively clearing yourself of limiting beliefs is being honest with yourself about what your unconscious mind believes. This is often times the most difficult step. Unfortunately our conscious and unconscious minds tend to have very different beliefs. Although consciously you know what is in your best interest, if your subconscious programming from childhood still believes otherwise, your process is dead in its tracks.

To effectively resolve your conflict it is necessary to go straight to the source of your issue and be painfully honest with yourself about the imposed limitation. This can be painful, especially when an issue has been repressed for a long time. But acceptance is the first step to identifying core issues.

Once the unconscious belief is identified, you are able to successfully apply EFT starting with the Set Up Phrase and proceeding through the Tapping Points.

Although a lot of this might seem obvious, a lot of inexperienced EFTer's are failing to resolve issues because they are not really focused on the issue they are attempting to fix. Being vague can work, but not with the same effectiveness of a more specific aspect. The most profound shifts occur when the core issue is identified and the procedure is applied.

From experience, I have found incorporating Love, Accept, Honor and Forgive myself into the set up phrase and while tapping on the points to be very effective. This usually creates rapid transformation and often times instant relief.

It is also important not to push yourself too hard to resolve too many issues at once. Just like any healing process, the body requires time to process. This is termed "cooking" and your body will usually become fatigued. I recommend taking a break from EFT and coming back to work on additional issues once you are feeling rested.

Remember, inner work takes time. Do not set yourself up for failure by expecting the resolution of one or two issues to resolve years of negative programming. Because EFT can be very subtle, you may not even realize you have made any progress until you look back, it is usually then you see how profound the changes really are.
