It is so hard to change old habits.

Year after year, you find yourself stuck in a job which you pretty much hate.

You are barely making enough money to make ends meet.

You often feel quite disappointed in yourself. To put it bluntly, you simply are not happy with what you do to make a living.

You stand by and watch your self-worth diminish and you feel you can't do nothing about it.

You try to rationalize why you stay on this go-nowhere job. You say, "I have to stay because the economy is so bad, I'm afraid to leave. It might take too long to find something else."

So you continue to stay at a job that is simply not the right job you.

Have you ever wondered why, no matter how hard you try to make the most of this job, it simply cannot and will not be something you love to do?

It's because you are working on a job or in a career that is NOT the job/career God has called you to do.

To be honest, we often feel stuck in these go-nowhere jobs. We convince ourselves that we need the benefits; it's not the right time to make any changes; maybe next year after..., then you'll start thinking about it, or perhaps after you...

If you continue to think this way, you will always be STUCK. You are stuck because you choose not to listen to God.

Instead of listening to God, you listen to yourself or to your friends and family who tell you to stay because, "Girlfriend, my sister was laid off and it took her 8 months to find a job."

And you get scared.

You take a chance and tell your best friend or family member about the dreams you have and the things you want to do. But they laugh and say, "Girl, stop dreamin'."

It seems that the bigger you dream, the more they laugh at you and say your dreams are silly or simply ridiculous.

And you believe them.

Now, tell answer me this. Why do you believe them and not believe God who tells you that you can do all things through Christ?

Why is it that we so often choose to believe our negative friends and family over God?

Many times, the people who are the closest to us, with good intention however misguided, stifle our dreams, hopes and desires. They aren't trying to be mean. Actually, they think they are helping by sparing us some disappointment. But what could be more disappointing than going to a job each day that makes us miserable?

Just a bit of FYI. Family and friends are usually the last person yo support your dreams and desires. It's not that they do not love you, it's that they simply do not often respect your hopes, dreams and desires. It not only happens to us, but it happened to Jesus as well. Remember when he went back home to Nazareth? He didn't stay there too long because the people he grew up with kept saying, "Hey, isn't that the carpenter's son? What does he think he's doing?" To your close friends and family, you will always be the carpenters son.

Don't listen to your family. I am here to tell you, you can do and be anything you desire. You can and should live your life with a purpose. You can do whatever you believe you can do. If you can dream it, you can achieve it. The power is in the mind. The magic is in the believing.

If you believe, with all your heart, that you can do all things through Christ, than with Christ you CAN get a career in whatever it is you desire to do.

YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST.

Make up your mind to start living life with a purpose, God's purpose for your life, and sit back and watch how much you are able to do.

If you ever find yourself at the point where you are starting to doubt your ability to do something, just remember this one verse, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

Make it a practice. Make it a habit. When you wake up each morning and thank the Lord for allowing you to see another day, just say to yourself, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

When you find yourself at any point in life, slipping back into your old habits or old routines, simply say to yourself, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

If you put this to practice every day, you will find yourself in the career designed exclusively for you in no time. A career designed exclusively for you, by God. A career that will help you serve others and yourself far more than you ever could on your present job. You will be living the life God intended you to live.

Happy, healthy and Blessed!!!
