Acknowledging your customers' needs or concerns immediately can result in long term customer loyalty. After all, repeat sales is the goal of every company. Right?

Some companies can it, ship it, and move on to the next prospect like traveling snake oil salesmen. Others want to know how they can serve their customers better. Which are you? I will admit, I was the first initially but soon realized how much I respect the latter , especially when the shoe is on the other foot.

It’s human nature. All people ultimately want to feel loved and appreciated. Companies that show they can show that they care about their customers in some way differentiate themselves from the competition without spending any additional money. Many customers spend a little more just for this invisible factor which adds value to their lives.

Courtesy is free. Train your employees on this one skill and you can double your profits.

Just a smile and saying, “Is there anything else I can get for you? Is everything okay?” can really make your customers’ day and keep paying customers coming back for more. eCommerce sites can even do this with a Thank You page, Follow Up eMail, Customer Loyalty Discounts, or a Christmas eCard.

Now that’s added value that didn’t cost you a dime!
