The majority of us go through life very unaware. Lots of us think that there is a randomness in life that decides what we have and what happens to us.

If you never get beyond living in the reality that you have and dealing with the situations life gives you over and over again you will be stuck in that reality and your life will not get better. You need to break out of the cycle and start creating your own reality.

Most people who live like this do not know that the Law of Attraction exists even though it is operating in their lives.

What the Law of Attraction says is that the things we have in our lives, both negative and positive, come from the thoughts and emotions we send out to the Universe.

Our thoughts and emotions create vibrations that go out to the Universe.

If we think positive thoughts and feel grateful, joyful, calm and happy than we send out good vibrations.

If our thoughts are negative and we are angry, sad, disappointed and frustrated we are sending out negative vibrations.

The Universe responds to our vibrations we send out by multiplying them and sending us the same thing we are sending out but in larger amounts. The Universe does not differentiate between negative and positive vibrations, it just responds with what we send it.

Often we do not know we are sending out these vibrations at all so we are unaware of why things happen to us.

The following are some suggestions you can use to stay motivated and positive. As you practice self-motivation you will become better and better at it.

1. Think about what you really desire to have in your life.

Change your focus from the things you do not want in your life to the things you desire to have in your life.
Speak only in the positive and avoid negative conversation or thoughts. If you think or say something negative like "I do not want to lose my job" the vibrations that go out to the Universe are focused on you losing your job.
Focus on creating what you want, not what you do not want.

2. Visualize your life as if you had the things you want already.

Try spending a few days thinking and feeling as if the things you wanted were already yours. Imagine how you would feel and how happy you would be. Then keep these thoughts in your mind and use them to banish negative thoughts from your vocabulary. The Universe picks up on the vibrations from your feelings as well as your thoughts.

3. Be open and calm and wait for the Universe to respond to your vibrations.

Once you have your emotions and thoughts under control you have to wait for the Universe to respond. While you are waiting for a response from the Universe do not allow doubt to creep into your mind and sabotage your efforts to achieve your dreams and get what you want. The Universe will respond to these doubts should you allow them to start to enter your mind and you won't get the desired results. Be open and do not resist what the Universe sends into your life.

Hopefully you can use these ideas to motivate yourself into thinking and feeling positive so you can use the Law of Attraction to your benefit. The more you try to be positive and motivated the easier and more natural it will become.
