What Are Our Spirit Guides?

Communication between the unseen world and our earth existence is called mediumship. Mediumship is the attunement of a person, spirit from within to spirit in the afterlife. It is done on our spirit body.

Mediumship is the attunement of our vibration to the spirit teachers and guides to form a strong, binding and lasting partnership. The purpose is spiritual growth through service to humanity.

What is this partnership? And how is it formed?

As human beings we are body, mind, and spirit in balance of energies within the one entity. For most things we do on the earth plane we are living in the gross material vibration. When we choose to acknowledge the spirit within and understand there is a finer vibration also available to our understanding, we open to commune with spirit realms that exist all around us.

Everything in the universe is vibration, each form of life vibrates at its own point of evolution. Each plane from the physical to the highest spiritual has its own vibration. Each individual on these planes have their own personal vibration.

This is where the medium attunes through mediumship exercises to the unseen world and forms their partnership with teachers and guides who work with those that open to the energy of spirit. This is the next step in our journey following this earth life with the death of the physical body. The spirit is set free to express in the afterlife.

We realize, in spiritual awareness, that no one, neither an earth teacher, nor one in the spirit realms, can give us this insight into our total being. This is something for which we must strive and attain by our own efforts. Our teachers, both physical and spiritual, can oly give us guidelines and encouragement, which they do in abundance.

No one can make this attunement for you. You must do this for yourself. Spirit can only encourage and advise yu along the path you will be treading. It will not be an easy one. It will be fraught with pitfalls and with discouragement as well as accomplishments and growth.

Our unseen helpers, spirit guides, can show us how to apply what we are learning in a constructive manner. They will, when invited, work with us on our mental level to help and assist us in dealing with those who need our help and assistance.

In the final analysis, it is we, ourselves, who will do the learning. We must accept the responsibilities of utilizing what knowledge we have gained. The final say is up to us in how we apply what we learn to our physical existence.

They usually strive to find instruments that will present their message in a manner that is in harmony with their own spiritual and mental development. This is the Law of Attraction (like draws to like). It is not logical to believe that Socrates, for example, would choose as his instrument one that knows nothing of philosophy and cannot even speak correctly.

A person who is not honest and truthful will often attract to themselves a guide who is not always careful of their statements. A medium that does not have a good vocabulary to draw upon in expressing themselves will cause spirit manifesting through their vibration to make the same errors of speech.

This cannot be helped. The manifestation always takes on so me of the individuality of the channel through which it emanates.
