The only thing you need to do is become the person only you can be.

The monk-poet Thomas Merton said, "If you want to identify me... ask me what I think I am living for, in detail, and ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for."

In your journal, write what occurs to you in response to Merton's question.

Examine your responses by grouping the "voices" that spoke in your journaling.
If you allow the process to be effortless, the many "I's" inside you will make present themselves like a cast of characters.

Using the sword of discernment, we can learn that these false "I"s are the delusions of the personality's wounding.

In taking our power back from these false voices, we reclaim the energy lost in childhood to automatic defensive behaviors.

The Enneagram is a precise map to these unconscious patterns.

We see the world not as it is, but as we are.
