A beauty salons only requirement is that you relax

This is my very favourite time or place to be at! The booked appointment is a much looked forward to occasion where when first arriving there, I have personally run out of battery power. I am generally depleted of all energy; and the time spent there offers me a time to unwind, relax which allows me to retreat into a quiet place, enjoy soft music and just enjoy the time where your beauty consultant or technician will work her special skills together with whatever treatment on you. This is YOU TIME.

What I expect to receive when entering the reception area of a beauty salon is friendliness, natural beauty, efficiency and lots of warmth or in the case of summer invigorating energy! After all you would not frequent a beauty salon if you did not expect to receive a professional service for your money! The reception area plays a vital role in the attraction of the clientele. A relaxing understated cheerful room is what I look for. Perhaps even a designer type cupboard with mirrors at the back, reflecting each and every exciting beauty item from all sides. This of course will generate more selling power for beauty salons. When each clientele peruses each beauty item on the shelf, there is a expectancy, a promise lying within each item.

Each and every one of us – male and female is seeking that glowing perfect complexion. These very items on the shelves promise us if we purchase and use these beauty products we will obtain that perfect skin. Those lovely wooden slanted blinds which I always felt too heavy are the perfect backdrop. Looking out onto a garden or pool area is probably the ultimate backdrop. Firstly the sound of the water and then of course the relaxing inviting scene out there can all add to the experience! The location of the beauty salon should ideally be within a short distance from your house. No one likes to experience all this beautiful regenerating experience at their local beauty salon only to be stuck in traffic.

What makes a beauty salon special for me is the décor – simple, but relaxing, the soft lights, the simple but understated elegant style. Not much is needed in each treatment room. There is the treatment bed, table, and the gorgeous thick fluffy towels smelling of that freshly laundered linen smell. The colours of the towels are very important to me! I am experiencing colour therapy right there and then. All products and instruments need to be clean, neat and orderly laid out beside me. This shows me that the beauty technician is skilled and professional about what she is doing.
