A Heart Warming Recipe For A Happy Holiday

Thanksgiving is already upon us. Yes, it’s that time of year!
Let’s give gratitude for all of our blessings.

We can feel the weather quickly changing! It’s getting much colder as we briskly move into the winter months. Surely, we can wear some of our warm knit hats, scarves, gloves and coats; however, the best way to weather the cold is to keep our hearts toasty warm. The holiday season is that what we make it, so why not focus on what creates joy, happiness, peace and good cheer.

Warm Up For The Holidays

Warming our hearts with family and friends can make the cold weather more bearable. Although we may not be able to enjoy our time with all of whom we’d like, we can still keep others’ spirits close at heart. Whether they are near or far across the miles, loving hearts are always connected especially during this special time of year. It’s nearly palpable as you can feel the like-minded spirit of sharing and caring in the air.

Gratitude: An Essential Ingredient

Don’t skimp on Counting All Of Your Blessings! It’s so wonderful that we’ve set aside this timely season to express our gratitude to those we love, the blessings we have, the beauty of nature and the dreams we hold. After all, true abundance comes in the form of Love, Peace, Good Health and Truth. When you have these, then all other good may be born.

Food and Thanksgiving go hand-in-hand.

Personally, I wouldn’t under-estimate the holiday joy that comes from the festivities during preparing and savoring delicious dishes for this incredible annual meal. If you’re in the majority of those who are holiday savvy and lucky, I’m sure you’ll plan on having innovative left-overs for ready-made warm ups. After all, you deserve the perks after all that kitchen time you put into the making.

Traditional staples are found on many tables across America.... turkey, sweet potatoes, biscuits, cranberry sauce, leafy or collard greens, perhaps a simple tossed salad and maybe even some stuffed mushrooms. Well of course there are plenty of other recipes to choose from, as your taste-buds lead the way. Or, maybe you may consider yourself a nonconformist and don’t eat turkey. You don’t really need to have a turkey on the table in order to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Both Autumn and Winter offer seasonal ideas for sharing mouth-watering home made soups. As you browse through the magazines or internet, you’ll find so many recipes to choose from. Better yet, however, create your very own, as there’s no wrong way to make homemade soup. Keep in mind that you can always add a little something, a spice or so to give it that raz a ma taz gourmet taste as it nears the finished product. If you’re the chef, no doubt your guests will show their appreciation by taking many second helpings. Then you’ll know that your soup went over big. I just hope that you took a minute to write down that recipe!

Dessert: Fabulous Flavor and Fruitful Fragrance

When you’re almost ready for dessert, you’ll need to make room for it, both on the table and in your stomach. Consider the popular favorites such as pumpkin pie, blueberry muffins, tarts, Apple Cider and other baked goods as the finale of a memorable meal. Hopefully by now you’ll be able to relax and enjoy each bite, but also remember to give some of the extra’s away. It’s a wonderful way to end the day knowing that your guests will find comfort from your sweet gesture.

Thanksgiving gives us so much to digest.
