A WoW Classic leveling guide can come in handy if you come from modern World of Warcraft, where zoning and improvements in quality of life make the experience more linear. And while we encourage you to take your time and enjoy the leveling experience, we have put together a list that will hopefully make your WoW Classic leveling journey through Azeroth a little easier. To quickly boost your level, you can buy this boosting service.

Choose a PvE server
PvP servers can be a lot of fun, but they can also slow you down if your priority is to reach maximum level as fast as possible. The moment you start leveling up in 'contested' areas on a PvP server, you run the risk of the opposing faction deciding that you are a more tempting target than the mission's enemies. While this works both ways, it can be exhausting if you're just looking to complete area missions and move on.

Choose a damage class
While this may seem obvious, choosing a class whose sole purpose is to cause harm will help you level up faster than choosing a hybrid class that can play a variety of roles. While other classes may be 'safer' thanks to their damage reduction (tanks) or healing abilities (healers), they tend to deal less damage than classes whose primary role is to kill things.

Make a decision about professions ...
It is a matter of choice whether you want to collect professions while leveling up or wait until later. Stopping to gather herbs or craft items or equipment will obviously take away the time you could spend killing enemies and gaining experience. But if you choose a profitable profession in the auction house, you will have a much better chance of getting that riding and riding skill when you reach level 40, which in turn will speed up the last 20 levels.

Consider making a banking character
Bag space becomes a fairly quick problem as you level up. You want to loot everything enemies drop, including trash, so you can sell it for a little extra silver, ready for when you can buy your Riding and Riding Skill at level 40. But along with the trash, it will loot crafting reagents, cloth and some weird gear. This is something you probably shouldn't be selling as it could be used by a profession later or sold at the auction house for a little extra gold. Setting up another character to send excess stuff when a mailbox passes means you can free your bags and worry about those things later.

Advance when you level up an area
In modern Warcraft, many zones will scale to their current level, but in Classic, the missions, as well as the experience gained from them, remain static. You must pay attention to the level of the missions you are doing to make sure they are in your level range for the optimal experience. A good indicator is the color of the search in your record; green is easy / lower level than you, yellow is normal / your current level, orange is difficult / higher level. If you have red missions, you will want to avoid them until you have a higher level.

Use a search guide and related plugins
The locations of the missions are not entirely obvious in Classic and you can waste a lot of time if you do not know the optimal order to do the missions. There are tons of written guides that can help you and you should absolutely use them if you want to eliminate many unnecessary runs. Wow Classic plugins like 'Questie' are also invaluable here and will give you a clear indicator on your map of mission locations and objectives.

Kill everything (that's close to your level)
You will travel a lot in Classic and to use your career between mission and objective seekers, you must kill the enemies you find along the way to get an additional experience. Obviously, don't go out of your way to locate them, but if you find one or two boars between you and your destination, don't go around them.

Level only if you can
Leveling up with friends or in a group is more fun, but if you are happy with your class and the speed with which it can kill things, it is better to level up alone. Experience gained from killing enemies is divided among party members, so unless the area is overrun with players hunting down the same search enemies, you had better be alone.
