Addiction And Related Problems caused by Drugs

A common drug used is the doda drug. It is a drug derived from husks. It is just like herbal tea and is commonly taken with tea or water. It is said to cause a ‘high’, followed by a ‘calm’. The doda drug is made from poppies. This drug is causing addiction and ruining people and their families. The seeds of the poppy are put together in an unusual concoction to produce a drug that takes you away from reality. Repeated use of the drug like any other, causes severe addiction problems for the user.

Narcotic drug addictions affect the life of the addict and the people he lives with. The addict gets out of control and this affects everyone around him. His family and friends and even his neighbours are affected by his behaviour. The addict lives a life of illusion. He needs the drugs to show him a perfect world. He lies to everyone in his life and then sinks into depression because of this. The pain that he feels makes him reach for the drug even more.

A narcotic drug addictions do not let the addict’s family live a normal life. They are concentrating on how to protect the addict or cover up for him. The addict’s friends realise that something is wrong and come closer to him to try and help him. But the addict cannot bear to hear the truth from them. The pain is so great that he pushes all his close friends away. Then he begins to wonder why he is so lonely. He cannot bear the pain of loneliness and seeks comfort in the drug again. It is a viscous cycle. As for his job, he will maintain it as long as his employer does not get wind of his condition or does not notice the signs and symptoms himself. The addict may call in sick too often or report late for work. The drug may cause mood swings and he may either be depressed or completely excitable all day long. He may get into trouble with colleagues or the employer, causing further problems. Once he loses his job, the financial strain will be felt on society. He may end up stealing in order to obtain more of the drug. The addict is a selfish self-centred person who believes that their entire world revolves around them.
