Why is it necessary that you must complete LPN Programs in CT for easy employments? The basic reasons that can be cited for the necessity of completing LPN programs in Connecticut include, the recession and economic slow down all over the country have greatly affected the state of CT, where the employments opportunities in majority service sectors have become negligible and people are finding it difficult to sustain their daily living. The current unemployment rate of the state has reached to a staggering figure of 9.1 %( p) in July 2011 as per the Local Area Unemployment Statistics Chart of the American Labor Statistics. This rate is much higher than many other states unemployment rate and is almost equivalent to national figure.
You must remember that, it is the only the health care sector of the state that is offering constant employments to all types of qualified nurses including LPNs to work in various hospitals and health clinics, spread throughout the state. Instead, there is nursing shortages in these facilities and require licensed nurses in greater numbers, resulting in higher pays.
Therefore, it is necessary that you must complete LPN Programs in Connecticut for easy employments and better salaries.
LPN Programs in Connecticut can be completed by attending classroom course instructions, lab practice and clinical experience. The duration of the program is 9-11 months. The program curriculum include instructions on anatomy, nutrition, maths in nursing, first aid and emergency procedures, physiology, pharmacology, communication, pharmacology and additional subjects.
The schools are allowed to set their own program schedules but in order to work in varied health care settings such as hospitals, long term care facilities, assisted living centers, mental health clinics, acute care centers and Substance Abuse Facilities, one must pass the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) developed and administered NCLEX-PN Exam for Licensure.
The approval to the program is offered by the Connecticut Public Health Department - CT Board of Nursing and accreditation is granted by the nationally recognized accrediting agencies such as the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) and the Commission on Nursing Education (CCNE).
