There are so many banks opening up in every corner of India. They are in huge demand for candidates who are highly knowledgeable and capable for the work involved. Thus, there are many banks in India which are conducting recruitments to recruit such candidates. Two such banks are Allahabad bank and SBI. They have many posts to offer in 2012 and recruit thousands of candidates. Allahabad bank and State bank of India are two highly reputable banks of India. Allahabad Bank:
• Allahabad Bank was established in 1865 and now has its headquarters in Kolkata. It has 2500 branches all across India. It is one of the top notch public sector banks of India.

State Bank of India:
• The State Bank of India is the largest banking and financial services company in India by revenue, assets and market capitalization. Its a state-owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai.
• SBI provides a range of banking products through its vast network of branches in India and overseas. The State Bank Group, with over 16,000 branches, has the largest banking branch network in India
• SBI has turned into the third-largest employer in India. It recruits thousands of candidates every year, through a thorough recruitment procedure. It scrutinizes every aspect of the candidate's personality before finalizing the recruitment
• In 2012, it is has 3100 seat vacant for the post of bank clerks. It is looking for candidates between the age group of 21 to 30 years with a diploma or degree from any recognized university.

Both State Bank of India (SBI) and Allahabad Bank hold high positions in the banking sector. Their work is renowned all over the world, which is evident from their branches spread outside India. Recruitment by any of these is a tough task and demands thorough practice.
