Alternative medicine system growing at a rapid pace in Worldwide

Alternative or traditional medicine system has a rich history of more than five thousand years. It has been used by millions of patients across the world. It is now gaining popularity as it focuses on overall health rather than just concentrating on the symptoms and suppressing it. India is one of the frontrunners in the field of alternative medical system.
Till now traditional system of medicine were regarded as vague and non reliable but now the overall thinking related to this system has been changing. It is now making inroads in the mainstream healthcare sector. These systems have shown remarkable progress in various chronic diseases such as arthritis, diabetes, asthma etc.
Some of the alternative medicine system which has made big inroads is Unani, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy etc.
Ayurvedar
This system is based on the principle of treating individual as a whole and is based on five basic elements of life. It is based on the knowledge of Atharva Veda of 1200 BC.
Unanir
Another alternative medicine system is Unani which dates back to Greece and reached India through Arabs. It makes use of animal and plant products which work as curative agents for re-establishing the original constitution of human body. Dr. Hashmi has been instrumental in spreading Unani throughout India and abroad and establishing it as a natural and side effect free alternative medicine system.

Tibetan Mediciner
This form of medicine is based on three forms of energy such as wind, bile and flame. Any kind of imbalance leads to illness and natural medicines created from Tibetan herbs are recommended for improving health of the patient.
Siddhar
It is based on principles similar to Ayurveda and is based on the doctrine of body tissues, humors and waste products. It focuses on maintaining a proper balance between them to ensure good health.
The best thing is that these alternative medicine systems are gaining popularity not just in developing nations like India but even West and not to forget third world countries such as Africa. These systems have been growing at a faster rate as compared to allopathic system of medicine which is known to suppress illness and has various side effects too. The acceptance rate is pretty high and this is a good signal towards acceptance by people across the world.
The best part is that these alternative systems have been integrated into the mainstream healthcare system and this is a good sign for the medical field and its development.
