At some point in our lives we seek answers to various questions. Rest assured in the knowledge of who you are and what you are made of which lies in your soul. Here are some questions, to name a few: What is my purpose in life? What was I born to do? Where am I supposed to be in this vast world we live in? Who is my soulmate?
We live in a world of free will. We continually have choices to make in our daily life. Each day consists of good and bad choices, either made by ourselves or others. Every decision is an opportunity to learn and grow. Nothing in life is set in stone because we have the free will to change things at any given moment.
It is my personal opinion that we do not have ONE purpose in life but many. Some people associate a purpose in life with a career choice. The question really shouldn’t be, “What is my purpose in life?” but, “How many lives can I touch today?” or “How many souls have I connected with today?” Your purpose in life will continually open new doors for you through love and giving freely of yourself. Life is about the connections that you make and the decisions that you make. For so long we have focused on our jobs and job titles that we forgot how important our soul’s connection to each other is. To help others is really your soul’s purpose. There is no greater gift than sharing your experiences and mentoring others, you will see them flourish. Their opportunities and experiences will become limitless.
We all have so many special gifts and talents. Many of those talents are discovered through life experiences, some of which just happen on a whim. A musician might try a different instrument and be more talented at it than the original instrument they were playing. A gymnast might try a new routine or apparatus, and be a natural at it. Some people connect strongly with the elderly, some with children, some with animals and some are connected to all of them. We all have so many talents, keep growing and discovering and be open to change and trying new things.
As you continue to grow with each life experience, the world around you continues to grow. It is at this time that you might decide to remain where you are or travel somewhere else. If a certain location keeps calling your soul, by all means, you should go there. Go where you are needed! This is so important, sometimes that could mean distant places and sometimes it might be remaining where you are and simply helping a neighbor. You are needed in so many ways.
Who is my soulmate? Will I ever meet my soulmate? It is my belief that we have many soulmates. Each one appears in your life at different times. Each soulmate either teaches you something or you teach them, continually. The combination of both of your energies is very strong and can take you both to great heights. A soulmate is someone who compliments your soul and you compliment theirs as well. Sometimes we forget this as we write our detailed list of what we desire in a mate. Sometimes it is the person next to you and in some instances you haven’t met them yet. Be open and heighten your awareness of others.
As with everything in life, let your faith guide you. Have faith in yourself, faith in God (or whatever your religious belief may be) and keep faith in each other.
