A debate on who’s the best and who’s been the heartbeat of horse racing in world history is incomplete without a mention of this legendary star. Pat was also the US Champion Jockey for six years by his number of wins and for two years by his earnings. rnHowever, amidst all the fame and money involved, Pat Day too had his share of tough times. This included those early years of his career when he was involved with substance abuse. He soon fought it back with religion and finally emerged victorious with such an immaculate racing career. Following a hip surgery, Pat finally called it quits for racing and declared retirement.
