Anti-Aging: Discovering The Fountain Of Youth
Written by Art Robertson
People tend to be overly conscious when we start approaching the age of 30. Things just seem to dramatically change at this age. We start to worry over how we look and as we worry, we hasten the process of aging. Just what is aging? Aging in scientific terms is a result of the deterioration of chemical activities and bodily functions over a period of time. We normally associate aging by the wrinkles, gray hair, deterioration in movement, and decreased brain function which normally comes with age. However, there is such a thing as premature aging. Premature aging can be more serious than the normal aging process as it can happen even during one's early 20's.
Causes of Premature Aging
Premature aging can be caused by several factors, most of which are directly associated with your lifestyle. Stress, smoking, inactivity, toxins, hormonal imbalance, and nutrient-deficient diet may also be the leading causes of premature aging. Most commonly found cause for premature aging would be the presence of free radicals within the body. Free radicals are unstable atoms that attack body cells and steal electrons from the delicate membranes and genetic structure causing further cell damage.
Signs and Symptoms
Common symptoms that manifest for premature aging would be pain in joints of the body, inflammation, insufficient blood supply, muscle weakness, and may result into a more serious such as a heart attack or a stroke. It is important for you to take notice of these bodily changes. Long-term neglect of symptoms for premature aging give way to age-related diseases such as diabetes, brain atrophy, osteoporosis, sexual hormone deficiency, and other glandular deterioration.
Anti-Aging Secrets
Once you notice these signs, you can take a few very simple steps to delay the process of aging.
1. One way of promoting anti-aging is to take a quick bath before going to bed. Coming home from a highly polluted environment, your exposed skin gathers dirt and grime. Washing before going to sleep helps to keep your open pores free from dirt absorption.
2. When you go out, do not forget to use sunblock to protect your bare skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. It may also do you good to use an umbrella even when using sunblock to make sure that you are well protected.
3. Another anti-aging secret is to drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated.
4. Eat a diet that is rich in antioxidants. Refrain from eating too much processed foods. Antioxidants help to keep free radicals from doing further damage to the cells within your body.
5. Exercise daily to keep your heart pumping fresh blood and oxygen into your body.
Dietary Supplement
To ensure that you are delaying the aging process, there are a couple of anti-aging products available in the market. These anti-aging products are designed to provide major enhancements to your skin and even to your hair and nails. With a lot of these anti-aging products, take extra precaution in buying only ones that have labels promoting natural ingredients. Most of the anti-aging dietary supplements nowadays are synthetically grown and thus have ingredients with petrochemicals present. Companies with natural ingredients in their dietary supplements will surely provide back labels for customers to read.
