Are negative stereotypes hurting Asian men white women relationships?

I am a white gal and I must confess that I am into non-white men. In fact, more often than not I find my dating style leaning more towards Asian men White women interracial dating. And in my dating days, I have come to realize that the Asian men White women combo, is among one of the rare interracial combos around. In fact you are ten times more likely to see its opposite (Asian women white men) when waking on the streets. Some people feel that the odds are stuck against the Asian men white women combo. In fact there was an Asian dude I once met who didn’t get why such an attractive woman like me ( yeah! Am hot ;-) ) would want anything to do with him… especially with the media portraying Asian men to be either Kung Fu ‘pandas’ or some computer geeks who are super short even in the penile department. Its like Asian men have been portrayed as these asexual beings and these negatives, like it or not could be affecting their dating lives – especially those who want to date interracially. Imagine a teenage Asian boy who grows up listening to all these negative stereotypes. Will he really be comfortable approaching women when he gets to college? Unless you are a lady who has been taught not to listen to media stereotypes, would you even entertain dating an Asian man? So these stereotypes could be affecting the Asian men white women interracial combo. And some of these men actually believe they aren’t good enough. But I do believe with some confidence, such stereotypes should not stop anyone from finding love wherever their dating preference takes them. And if you compare with the previous generations, more Asian men today do believe they deserve being with women of other races and have no issues approaching them to ask for a date. I have been in relationships with Asian men and to be honest, they are very respectful of women and (I know you were waiting for this clarification)very sexual. So if the sexual department is what is worrying most women, then I am here to tell you that sexual satisfaction is something that is tied to an individual; not a specific race. Plus size don’t mean you are great! You either know how to use it or you don’t. Let the stereotypes fly around. I know we will never hear the end of it. And since I have been seeing more Asian men white women couples lately, I believe more and more people have chosen to ignore these baseless stereotypes.
