Almost everyone loves playing games on their computer. Of course the types of games that we all play vary and that's the reason there are so many different kinds of games being produced. However, when it comes to basic platforms rather than thinking of Play stations and Xboxes, we now even consider social gaming as a whole new platform.

Can it be compared to the other famous platforms such as play stations, Nintendo's, the Xbox and various other gaming consoles? Well, the simple answer would be a flat no! However, the number of people who love social gaming is much more than the people who wish to own one of the other gaming consoles.

Why are Video Chat Games this popular?

Well, everyone loves to socialize to some extent and that's the reason social games are an ever growing trend. The most popular social games have millions of players playing them each and every day.

The main reason that they're popular is because of the fact that here people are able to play with all their friends at the same time at a slow rate. Most of the social games are built in a way wherein you don't have to play at a single stretch. You slowly build up your game character and interact with the others who've chosen to play with you.

They're not that great though

Well, no matter how many players they get, these games are not at all comparable to the popular MMORPG's being produced. They lack the basic graphic necessities of a true game and are really simple in their nature. That's the reason people who call themselves pro gamers never give these games a try.

However, the so called "pro gamers" aren't a majority of the population and that's the only reason these games are gaining popularity the world over. It is due to these many facts that plenty of businesses are not creating games to help get their brand name out there.

Facts don't matter

When it comes to playing games online via social networks facts don't really matter to the people who actually take part. They're just happy that they get a chance to play along with their friends and hence this serves as another way to interact with the people they're closest to. Therefore, no matter what happens social networking is all set to grow and with its growth social gaming would also see a healthy increase.
