Are You Giving Your Power Away to Circumstances?

Wherever you are in life, no matter how much money or how big a house you have, chances are you feel that there is some circumstance or another that is holding you back from where you want to be. If you feel this way, you are not alone. In fact, it is far rarer to not feel this way than to feel this way. It doesn’t matter how big and important the thing is that you feel is holding you back, or how small anyone else might see it as; from your subjective point of view the circumstances probably seem insurmountable.

The liberating and possibly terrifying fact is that you are not, in fact, dependent on your circumstances. Believe that you are dependent and you give power to your circumstances. Believe that you have the power and ability to change anything that needs to be changed, and you break your dependence on outer circumstances to make the changes you want to see.

As you have experiences and form memories, these memories teach your subconscious certain lessons. If the memories are negative, the lessons may be similar to the following:

1. I can’t get out of this situation.
2. It is impossible to change this situation.
3. This situation is someone else’s fault.
4. I can’t take responsibility over my whole life.
5. I am worried about bad things that might happen.
6. I am a victim.
7. It is easier to complain about the situation than to change it.
8. I get attention and emotional support when I am helpless.
9. There isn’t anything I could do about it anyway.
10. I deserve this kind of life.

Your past memories may have taught you these lessons, but you do not have to spend the rest of your life believing them! You can break the negative patterns and take control of your life!
