WHAT DO MY TEETH HAVE TO DO WITH MY HEALTH?

EVERYTHING.

Whether you realize it or not, your mouth is an entryway for everything that goes into your body. If you’re letting the ‘Boogyman in’, you can’t help but get SCARY results. Yet, I’m getting a little ahead of myself.

Everything in your body is connected. Many people fail to realize that. So let’s take a closer look at teeth and overall health. In evaluating teeth, I choose to look at HOLISTIC dentists first, compared to MAINSTREAM dentists. This is primarily due to the way they approach looking at the body. Holistic dentists look at the WHOLE body in reference to teeth, whereas, most regular dentists do not. That alone, makes a world of difference! If your dentist isn’t looking at the whole body, how effective can he or she be?

So, looking from a HOLISTIC (whole body) approach, the differences between the two is significant. Holistic dentists, for example, for the most part, do NOT recommend FLUORIDE in your toothpaste. They believe to prevent cavities, there are many safer ways to do that. Fluoride is a toxic substance to the human body, therefore, its everyday use can cause buildup in the body, that goes into your bloodstream or elsewhere, causing more problems than just teeth, affecting your health negatively. Look at a health food store for Tom’s toothpastes. They have fluoride and non-fluoride toothpastes to choose from. You can also find other brands to choose from if you don’t like Tom’s, as well.

Regular dentists have used MERCURY fillings for many decades. Now, that more people are aware of these dangerous fillings, some don’t choose to have mercury fillings any longer. However, taking mercury fillings out of your mouth is also dangerous, because they have to be taken out carefully to avoid getting this poisonous substance inside your body at removal. Research qualified dentists who know how to take fillings out before having your fillings replaced.
Root canals are also a problem for HOLISTIC dentists. They believe bacteria is spread through root canals and cause an extreme amount of bacteria to enter the body.

And this is just a start looking at your teeth through a ‘WHOLE BODY’ lense. However, your joints, your heart, your digestive system, and much more, can also be affected by your teeth.

WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE MY TEETH HEALTHIER?

Let’s start at the beginning. If you have children or grandchildren, early years like 3-5, TEACH them excellent habits that stay with them for life.

1) BRUSHING and FLOSSING twice a day is a MUST. Over and above that, show them OIL PULLING. Oil pulling is a definite way to cut down on bacteria, and to keep plaque in check. People in India have been using it for centuries! It keeps diseases at bay, also. Children may have to be a little older to be sure they don’t swallow the oil. Keep this in mind.

2) Get away from commercial rinsing. Use FOOD GRADE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE or drops of Essential Oils to rinse AFTER brushing. You can find tons of information on the internet regarding Essential Oils and Oil Pulling, by the way.

The Hydrogen Peroxide isn’t exactly tasty, yet it’s a BAD bacteria KILLER, though, and that’s the point. You can dilute it with water. You need that now more than ever…keeping BAD bacteria out of your body, preserving your GOOD bacteria, and strengthening your immune system, is imperative. Need I say Corona Virus?
3) Teach younger children how to have better inner health. Give them lifelong advice about GREAT food and whole food vitamins, enzymes and minerals that the body REQUIRE…Advice even YOU need to follow too. Don’t encourage bad habits by giving kids daily FAST FOOD and sugary products. They look to you to be the example. There’s no excuse in this day and age. We have invaluable information about WHAT our bodies THRIVE ON. Just like your car, you body depends on SPECIFIC substances to run properly. Starting at an early age, what you present to children, becomes their foundation. Don’t let their foundation be J-U-N-K!
All of this contributes to Healthier Teeth and Internal Good Health to cut down on dis-eases and turmoils of the body.

RESOURCES FOR HEALTHIER TEETH

Some websites, like orawellness.com give excellent tips for keeping your teeth healthy. They have some interesting restrictions on oil-pulling; however, people who’ve used it for centuries, I’m inclined to believe their results the most. Besides, I personally have excellent results with oil-pulling myself. You have to look at the pros and cons of any issue and determine whether it’s for you. Be sensible with anything you do. Another site with good advice for healthy teeth is verywellhealth.com. It makes sense to explore people who look at holistic health (WHOLE body health) in treating our bodies like the temples they are. You DID know your body is a temple, didn’t you?

We’re bombarded with information these days. Doctors, holistic practitioners and experts all have conflicting information to give. YOU have to be discerning to make wise choices. Within your time frame, read everything you can about the ‘issue’ you’re interested in and determine the pros and cons of it. If something seems to be hurting or disagreeing with your body, even if it’s doing well for someone else, STOP using it. You know your body better than anyone else, when you listen to it. So, trust your instincts.

The SAVE OUR TEETH movement starts NOW! All of us can be in on it. Play close attention to what your body tells you and act from that place. Nowadays we can avoid ‘default behavior’ by taking care of our teeth and playing close attention to our health. You don’t want to be putting teeth in a glass at night, because you lost your regular teeth to gum disease, do you?WELL, it’s time to ‘get back to basics’. If you’re going to say ‘cheese’ for the camera, every time somebody wants a selfie with you, or every time you take a picture, at least your teeth will be your own.

Janeska Smith Asante was born in New York, New York on a frigid winter night in November. Her mother had gone to New York to keep her pregnancy a secret from her parents, even though she was at least 26 years old. To hide her pregnancy, even further, she weighed the idea of throwing Janeska over the Brooklyn Bridge, for at least 24 hours. However, she couldn’t do it, and less than a month later, Janeska ended up living with her Cherokee grandmother, on a steep hill, in a great little yellow house, smack dab in the middle of the country…Omaha, Nebraska.

Her grandmother was a diabetic and she was often sick; so before even attending school, Janeska’s grandmother taught her to grow herbs and food in the garden. She taught her how to wash dishes, clean the house, and wash clothes. At 4-years-old, she was responsible for giving her grandmother Diabetes shots and putting her to bed with HER doll (who happened to be larger than Janeska).
All of her grandmother’s friends, became Janeska’s friends. They were all over 80 and looked at Janeska as their helper and their pathway to healing. Everyday, she was creating herbal concoctions (from the garden) and preparing them for her grandmother’s friends.

There were no children who lived in her grandmother’s neighborhood. So, Janeska just read health and healing books (most of the day) that came from her grandmother’s church, the Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church of Omaha.

Janeska thought this was normal, for kids, since she didn’t have anything to compare it to, yet.

Her granddad was a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) minister and health and healing was a HUGE topic in the SDA Church Community. Her grandmother didn’t really pay much attention to the Health aspect as she should, yet Janeska absolutely LOVED this information. She thought that the food part of the Adventist teachings were fabulous and she spent every chance she got reading and experimenting with the herbs and remedies taught (from the Bible, from Jethro Kloss, from Ellen G. White, and other ‘whole body teachers’ of our time.

She was healing the elderly before she entered nursery school and she realized she came here with a gift and a knowledge far beyond her years. She even kept her grandmother from getting her leg cut off that doctors insisted must happen, simply from what she knew and studied, at the ripe old age of 4.

This is HOW it all started. Throughout the rest of her life, she continued to research and practice what she knew. After graduation from the University of Nebraska, with a degree in Journalism, she tripled her research and study, helping many people along the way. After that, she became Certified in Hypnotherapy & Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She added an emotional component of her healing practice, which many people don’t realize is at the core of their illnesses.

Janeska is also a Self Realization Fellowship member, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda, who initiated and taught Mahatma Ghandi Kriya Yoga and meditation, which is also a huge part of the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection she uses when it comes to health and healing. She became a Kriya Yoga initiate, like Ghandi, in 2018.

She created a Customized Chart for clients and others, to see what areas they need help in. She sends the chart out through email and does online sessions for whomever requests it.

Once she analyzes the Chart, she gives recommendations in all areas of one’s being…Mind, Body & Spirit, so each person is guided to the right things to do to correct inharmonies in the body.

Over the last 3 - 4 decades, Janeska has created a wide range of skills. She’s the author of 3 books (revolving around health and politics), wrote news for KABC (American Broadcasting Company), been a researcher of Mind, Body, Spirit Health, done Event Planning and Produced Events, been a former assistant editor for Essence Magazine, and founded ‘It’s All Connected, Inc.’, a Mind, Body, Spirit Company, which is currently spreading its message of self-healing and inner joy, to all those souls in search of these things.
