We've reached the half-way point in this series
about living on purpose. We've talked about
how short and unpredictable life is. We've
talked about how to find your purpose. We've
talked about using pain and pleasure to motivate
you into action. And we've talked about how to get
beyond fears that can and will stop you.

On to this issue.

It's knowing why you want to live your purpose.

Knowing why is critically important because
it will motivate you into action on a daily
basis. Knowing why will be the stimulus,
the motivation, the energy that keeps you
going even when the going is tough. It will
get you past any blocks, beliefs, barriers
or fears and keep your thoughts and feelings
focused in a positive direction, totally on course.
Knowing why is literally the foundation of your
goals, plans and dreams. A goal without a why
is not any better than a pipe dream. The bottom
line is that knowing why is like the fuel that will
transport your dreams into realities.

When you know why you want to do what you want
to do, you will feel different on all levels,
physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

You'll feel strong. You'll feel "right". You'll
feel like you are doing what you're supposed
to be doing. You'll feel free and open and excited.
Now, you may also be scared... maybe even really
scared. When you step out of your comfort zone and
your normal life and take on something much bigger
than yourself, it can be frightening. That's all
the more reason to really know what your why is.

In my own life, my why is simply this.

The personal development work, the public
speaking, the book and article writing I do
all give me so much joy, so much pleasure,
so much satisfaction, fulfillment, excitement,
and bring so much passion to my life that I
wouldn't want to do anything else.

That brings me to the very important part about
your why.

I help people to transform their lives because I feel
great when I do it. When I'm up on stage, I feel most
at home. I just feel like I'm supposed to be there.

Your why is about you... all about you. You do
what you do because it makes you feel good first
and then it has an alternative benefit outside of

For example, if you like to garden and you start a
huge community garden, it's because you enjoy
gardening and you enjoy making a difference and
you enjoy feeding people. Your why is all about you.

So, take some time and figure out your why and once
your motives are clear, you'll catapult yourself to
stratospheric heights.

So, that's it for this issue my friend. May you
be blessed beyond belief and may all of your
dreams and your success come true. And may
everything you wish for be the least that you get.

Until next issue...

To your success,
