They have already made a loan deal with Pablo Mari, which would expire at the end of the season, but The Gunners are thriving for more and looking to fill the gap in their defense department in the next transfer window.
According to the Bild report, AFC is targeting Bayer Leverkusen’s Tah, considering his 33.25 million pounds buyout clause, as well.
The young talent entered the German Top-flight club in 2015 from Hamburg and since then played 167 games for the side.
It has been expected that the current deal of the 23-years-old would end in 2023; however, his buyout clause would terminate in June. Therefore, Arsenal must wrap things real fast.
Mike Artera, the boss of Arsenal, has clearly mentioned earlier that at the current stage, their top priority is to made amendments in their defense sector. His two main defenders, Calum Chambers and Rob Holding, are currently out of commission because of injury issues; therefore, the boss is relying on the duo David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi, which are unfortunately aren’t doing any good to the team. Apart from Young Bayer Leverkusen talent Jonathan Tah, the Gunners are also aiming for Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig; he is known to have a 41.5 million pounds release clause.
Dayot, in his recent interview, stated that many clubs are pursuing him, and he will think about the situation thoroughly and then conclude his final decision.Article author
