Asthma is a long-term lung disease that directly affects your airways or we can explain it as a disease that inflames and narrows the airways. Your airways can be describe as tunnel that carry air in and out of your lungs. Wall of your airways become swollen in people suffering from asthma, this makes them sensitive and resulted in to breathing problem. Airways get narrower and lungs get very less amount of air, when your airways react. This further lead to breathing problem, coughing, chest tightness and wheezing, especially in early morning or at night. Asthma is that type of disease that may affect people of all ages, but it often start during childhood.
Causes of Asthma
It is a disease that is caused by inflammation in the airways. The muscles surrounding the airways become tight and lining of the air passes swells, it happens when an asthma attack occurs and it also reduces amount of air to pass. Some common causes of asthma are pet hair, dander, change in weather, exercise, pollen, stress, strong emotion, dust, chemical in the air or food, mold, respiratory infections and tobacco smoke.
Treatment
Asthma is very common problem now a days in people. It affect people of all ages but it often start during childhood. It has to be treated on time rather it may lead to serious problem. For the treatment there are various medicines and inhaler are available. Albuterol is one of the most trusted, best and recommended medicine by the doctor. Albuterol is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of Asthma and other breathing problem. The main ingredient of Albuterol is Salbutamol. It is a medicine which comes in form of inhaler and is available by both brand and generic name. As it is a prescription medicine so you should know full information about the medicine before making any use of it.
Before taking Albuterol you should know that if you are allergic to this medicine or to its ingredient, you should avoid using it. While using the inhaler the patient should it carefully so that it does not enter to your eyes. If in case patient does not get any relief from the medicine he should immediately consult the doctor or health care professionals. Use of this medicine may drop the potassium levels of the body. Pregnant and breast feeding mother should not use Albuterol without consulting doctor or health care professionals.
You should inform your doctor or health care professionals if you are taking any prescription, non prescription and herbal medicine before using Albuterol to avoid drug interaction. This medicine should not be used with MAO inhibitors,Beta blockers,Antidepressants and Diuretics because it may lead to drug interaction. It is a prescription medicine so it should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. The inhaler should be shaken properly before use. Keep all the medicines away from the reach of the children and pet.
