Avoid Warts- How to Prevent Plantar Warts

Maybe you know that warts are unsightly skin growth that appears on different parts of the body like around the eyes and mouth, face, hands, soles of the feet and genitals. Plantar warts are skin growths or warts found on the soles of the feet. Having warts on the soles of the feet could be really uncomfortable and annoying especially if warts are located on areas prone to repeated pressures and frictions that may lead to pains and bleeding. Anyone is at risk and you have to know how to prevent plantar warts.
Before knowing how to prevent plantar warts, you have to know that these skin growths are caused by a virus called HPV or human papilloma virus which is highly contagious. People can get the virus through direct contact with the virus which thrives on damp and warm environment. It is important to be cautious not to get the virus. Here are some tips to prevent plantar warts.
Be wary of places like swimming pools, public showers and shower mats at common shower room at home to prevent plantar warts. If you walk barefooted on those places you may catch the virus. Always wear your own clean sleepers or shower sandals.
Avoid using common footwear or share footwear and things with roommates or other people because you do not know if those people have the virus. You also have to remember that in sleeping with a partner with warts; you could catch the virus through sheets or rubbing foot with your partner.
You are more vulnerable to viruses including human papilloma virus if you have weak immune system. Try to boost your immune system to prevent plantar warts by eating healthy diet, getting enough sleep and avoid stressful situations.
If you already catch the virus, prevent plantar warts from spreading and seek professional help or consult a doctor. If left untreated, it may spread to other parts of the body and may turn into clusters. Warts in clusters is really unsightly, embarrassing and could be really painful.
