What is Diabetes?
Diabetes may be a serious condition that causes more than normal glucose levels. Diabetes occurs when your body cannot make or inefficiently use its have insulin, a hormone made by special cells within the pancreas called islets (eye-lets). Insulin is a “key” to open your cells, to permit the sugar (glucose) from the food you eat to enter. Then, your body uses that glucose for energy.rnBut with diabetes, several major things can fail to cause diabetes. Type 1 and type 2 diabetes are the foremost common types of the disease, but there also are other forms, like gestational diabetes, which occurs during pregnancy, also as other forms. Diabetes may be a disorder where the body fails to utilize the glucose produced at the top of digestion, resulting in increased glucose level within the blood serum and urine. During the method of digestion, the carbohydrate within the consumed food is weakened into glucose. Glucose is vital because it provides energy for the cells. To create use of this glucose for energy, a hormone named insulin is required. People having DM don’t have sufficient insulin production in their body or the insulin produced isn't used for conversion of glucose into energy. Thanks to this, the glucose levels in the body increases within the blood damaging the blood vessels of significant organs like heart, kidneys, eyes or the system nervous. This may cause complications like heart disease, kidney disease, blindness and might even suffer from stroke.What does Diabetes mean in Ayurveda?

But the onset of type 2 diabetes is sometimes slower and also the symptoms don't seem to be as noticeable as those for type 1 diabetes. For these reasons, many of us mistakenly overlook the warning signs.
