In e-business environment, business will not be restricted by region or time. Business partners could complete transactions through B2B business platform with higher efficiency.
Credit problem becomes one of the bottlenecks that restricted the development of B2B e-business.
Predicament one: business partners’ information is not fully unveiled. The online business transaction is different from traditional business mode: “Cash on delivery”, while e-business is online virtual without direct contact business activity mode. Enterprises could seek business opportunities through B2B portals. So it is a must to fully know the other business partners’ information before any transactions.
At present, domestic B2B business websites have posted the information completely, and the information has been categorized by the system, according to description, picture, etc. Enterprises could get the production information quickly through searching on key words.
However, B2B websites do not unveil the information of product suppliers. In order to avoid risks, the online buyers may have to spend a lot of time and energy on knowing more information about the seller, which impacts the efficiency of B2B business.
Predicament two: B2B website portal can not verify the credit of the members. Most B2B portals make profit through collecting member fees. In order to improve reputation and credit, some B2B portals try to use credit verification system to give enterprises ratings. While the credit verification can not be guaranteed as there is no third party involved in and lack of supervision.
IBUonline is a B2B business platform. IBUonline has adopted third party credit verification system to ensure the safety of transactions.
