Baby Health Tips for New Parents

You have made it possible and survived forty weeks pregnancy and now you are ready to welcome your new child at home and it’s time to start a new life with your baby. There are various ups and downs you will experience if this is your first time, one day you will be happy, proud and excited and on the other day you feel sad and stressed. As we all know talking care of new born baby is very difficult and requires lots of efforts. In addition it is difficult to understand at what time you need to become a slightly over protective parent or when you need to call medical assistance for your baby.
Starting six years of baby is very important to healthy development as in these years the important organs of the body develops very rapidly like brain, heart and sense organs etc. Keep remember that you are the best teacher for your baby and these early years is very exciting years of his life because he starts knowing you and new world around him or her. The way you care and play with him and the way you talk with him, all matters a lot on what your baby learn and how he grows. If this is your second time than you can take help from your previous experience but if it’s your first time, you should take extra care in handling your new born baby. Here are some tips that will help you in first year with your baby:
- New born babies are very sensitive and not born with strong immune system, so it is good to wash your hand before handling him. Not only you, if others want to handle him makes sure to suggest them to first wash their hands.
- Speak in soft and gentle voice with your baby.
- Normally babies love to be held, so try to spend more time with him and hold your child.
- Give breastfeeding to him as your breast milk will provide all necessary nutrients to your baby which he requires the most in first six months after birth.
- Give support to baby’s neck and head while carrying him up or laying him down. Hold him with extra care.
- Keep remember your new born baby is not able to play roughly, so play with him smoothly and nicely.
- Try to learn your baby’s talk or cues like when they feel hungry and sleepy and when they want to play with you etc.
- Talk to your baby about the things around her. Babies love colors and fun so share some colorful pictures with him.
- Never treat your baby with strictness and don’t get angry on him, if did something wrong. Naturally babies learn through play and fun and try to do same with him.
At last don’t forget your health in caring your child. It is important to take care of yourself too, so you can ask your trusted friend or any other to handle your child to take out some time for yourself.
