Many people have the skill and talent but are unable to prove themselves due to lack of opportunity. Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) is providing this opportunity to many students by conducting Common Written Exam (CWE) in 2011. It will recruit candidates for the post of bank po in 19 public sector banks of India. This Endeavour has been appreciated by many and they look forward for its success. However, the students are still confused about this concept. Since such large scale recruitment is being conducted for the first time in India, especially in the banking sector, many candidates are doubtful about the question papers, marking scheme, how to prepare, syllabus, etc. IBPS has published all this on its sites, but students are still confused. There are some basic exam preparation tips available for such candidates:
The CWE is like all the other Bank PO recruitment exams. The syllabus is almost the same.
You need to focus on vocabulary and current affairs in order to prepare well for the exams.
If your current affair knowledge is low, you need to start reading news papers and watch news channels. This would not only acquaint you with current affairs but also hlep you extend your vocabulary.
The exam would be conducted in later part of 2011. It is very important to start preparing months before the exam to score well.
The main aim of such a large scale recruitment is to choose the best. They, by no means, intend to compromise on quality. Hence it is very essential to give it your best shot and score better than the others.
IBPS consists of a team of highly trained professionals, therefore the evaluators appointed for checking the answer sheets would not show any leniency. You cannot afford to answer incorrectly, since there would be negative marking.
Practice is the main key to success. You have to practice thoroughly to improve your accuracy. There will be limited time available and lot of questions to answer. You need to get into the habit of answering in a proper and timely manner.

These exam tips can help you prepare better for your CWE in 2011. However, these would only be useful if you are ready to put in your own efforts. Be sure, you are well aware of current affairs in India, especially in the banking field. Current affairs questions would cover a major portion in the exam.
