What is a Baptism Invitation?

Baptism is a religious sacrament where a person decides to get right with God, part of the “outward sign” of accepting Jesus as their saviour. The family and friends are given baptism invitation. The person to be baptised is immersed in the holy water or the water is sprinkled on his head and is welcomed to the new world.

Who can be Baptised?

Usually there are questions as who can be baptised is it only the new born or anyone can go for his baptism. Baptism of new born is referred to as Christening. People are often reluctant in sending baptism photo invitations when they organize this ceremony for adults. Some people are shy in celebrating adult baptism and are reluctant on sending their baptism invitations. Members of christen society do not hold any bar on the age while going for baptism. There are people who go for baptism on behalf of dead but this is always a controversial issue as some regard it as discretion of the memories of their loved ones.

Church are the best place to hold baptism, since it is a devine place so it must begin with a sacred place. Sometimes because of location or capacity of church people are hesitant about holding large gatherings, and they organize baptism with family and post lunch with everyone. Sometimes the person to be baptised is not very comfortable for this ceremony publically so it’s better to hold the event in this way.

What should audience do in baptism?

After getting a child’s baptism invitations every guest tighten up their shoes for the celebrations but when they receive such invitation for adults they feel a bit awkward as what they would do and what gift they may take for the host family. If you are being one of them accept the purposely with pleasure and join this auspicious ceremony with the host family. It is not necessary for you to take a compulsory gift for them your presence with real smile would do.

Eatables at a Baptism functio

Usually baptism functions are held in the afternoons or evenings’ so keeping light snacks is the etiquette. Some church warn on holding hard drinks as a part of their eateries instead keep fruit juices and light drinks with pasta, chips, dips, muffins, salads, jellies, pancakes, fruits. The decoration of the venue is also important. Take the services of a good caterer or can even ask any event management company to take responsibility for the party if gathering is expected to be large. If you are planning to organize it for family and close relatives than you can yourself take care about decoration.
