Basic Measures to Stop Acne Formation - Best Acne Treatment
Written by Jason Popper
Are you suffering from acne and would like to treat it? I'm going to give you a few basic steps to stop the formation of acne, however these steps won't treat your acne. They'll just speed up the treatment of your acne, assuming you're currently using a decent acne treatment that doesn't damage the skin. There are many acne treatments out there, and an acne treatment that works for one person doesn't mean it will work for you. However, there are measures you can take to reduce your acne while you search for your miracle acne treatment.
First of all, don't eat junk food, reprocessed foods, candy sugars, and other types of junk foods currently on the market. These types of foods lead to the formation of acne. Fried foods are obvious; your body needs to excrete the oil somehow, and most of the time the oil comes out through the face. The other sources of acne may increase the production of sebum, leading to the possibility of unwanted acne breakouts. Keep your diet healthy; it definitely doesn't hurt, even if this step doesn't significantly impact your acne.
Next, stop using acne treatments that contain skin irritants immediately. This includes most home-made acne treatments, because these acne treatments may treat acne, but they damage the skin in the long-run. Somebody I know was recommending the use of toothpaste to treat acne. Yes, it does help, however you're trading reduced acne for damaged skin. Damaged skin is more difficult to recover from than acne - stay away from these acne treatments.
Lastly, when you're looking for an acne treatment, search for one specific to your skin type. If your skin is very oily, choose an acne treatment that gets rid of oil effectively, for a minimum of 12 hours. If your skin is dry, choose one that moisturizes the skin in the process.
The skin is a very fragile organ and should be taken care of. Don't apply random chemicals to the skin and assume acne will disappear. I've had my unfortunate time with acne, and from all the hundreds of random chemicals I've applied to my skin, I can tell you not one of them worked. Be safe when choosing and applying chemicals to the face.
