Also, if it has been about 5 years or more since you have had your system pumped last, we recommend having it pumped soon. Even if it seems to be working efficiently, chances are that there may be sludge built up in the septic system. Drain Field At times if your toilet is backed up it may be because your toilet is clogged. However, if it is backed up or running slowly, it can also mean that your drain field is clogged or you may be using excess water which is keeping the septic tank from functioning properly.
