It was claimed by The New Seven Wonders Foundation that more than 100 million votes were cast for the selection of new Seven Wonders of the World. With the number of votes received the New Seven Wonders were decided and announced.

The New Seven Wonders are Chichen Itza in Mexico, The statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), The Colosseum in (Rome), The Great Wall of China (China), Machu Picchu in (Peru), Petra in (Jordan)and Taj Mahal in (Agra). All the monuments are exclusive pieces of architecture and were built after lots of efforts were being made by the people at that time. These monuments attract tourists in large numbers every year. Every structure holds its own significance and there is a tale associated with each one of them which makes it more attractive and beautiful.
