The Internet Retailer recently quoted certain figures relating to online retailing of beauty products that is noteworthy for it does give a proper picture of where we are heading. Quoting the NPD Group, the survey reveals seven out of ten women these days prefer to shop online for their beauty and personal care products requirements. This though forms only a four per cent of the total sales of beauty and personal care products. But all the same, NPD Group points out that the beauty products is one category that is showing the maximum growth when it comes to online retailing.
On the other hand, the more recent survey undertaken by the Nielsen Group indicates a 19 per cent global average for all cosmetics and nutrition supplies. While there can be some debate on what should go under nutrition supplies, the fact remains that many supplements and hair care products to proclaim their nutritional value.
Cleansing milks, to face packs, to face washes, hair oils to gels, eye creams to clarifying masks, perfumes , moisturizers, fairness creams, moisture packs, and what not form the crux of what all we call and refer to as the beauty and personal care products.
Going green or herbal along with the Ayurvedic way seems to be the thrust and emphasis these days when it comes to buying personal care and beauty products. Herbal hair oils, say that claim to remove dandruffs are bound to be preferred more than other more regular names.
Online retailing has obviously helped women buy these beauty products without moving out from their residence at all. Convenience is a big factor that decides the number of buyers who are willing to go online to do their share of shopping for personal care and beauty products.
