Have you ever wondered how Graham Bell thought of a machine like the telephone? Or how did Ben Franklin discover electricity? How did these people come up with such inventions and discoveries? Did they just stumble upon them by chance? Highly unlikely, right? Chances are, one thing led to another, they envisioned something, dream big, thought the impossible, experimented with various ideas and then finally inventions happened! If dreaming and envisioning brought electricity in our lives and telephones in our living room, then just imagine the power of dreams.
Every one of us have dreams right from childhood – from meeting Harry Potter to owning chain of restaurants across the world! If we look around us, from movie stars to business icons, all had humble backgrounds but had big dreams. They had faith in their dreams. You can become a person you want to be and can achieve the impossible if your heart and mind is set on it. The difference between famous people and you is that they have determination and the courage to pursue their dreams. All around, we hear stories of a beggar turning into a movie star, or a clerk becoming the next big thing in the Wall Street! It does not happen just by chance or through magic. All they did was dream big and pursue those dreams with dogged determination.
Dreams have the power to build the strong desire to achieve your goal. After the desire is built, a person needs to work in accordance with the dream. You need to do everything in your power so that you are on the path to achieve your dream. Hurdles and hardships are there. Most people, who have dared to dream big, have met with challenges and failures along the path. But, they remained determined. They found solutions to the problems, rectified, tried again and followed the path. What is life without a few hurdles and challenges? Realizing your dreams will be even sweeter if you got them the hard way. I mean, you will realize the importance of challenges also. Do not get frustrated with setbacks and failures; just trust the power of your dreams. Look all around and you will see many success stories. Gandhi ji, had a dream of gaining freedom for his nation. He came from a very humble background. No one believed him. But slowly and steadily, with confident steps and strategies, he involved thousands of people and ultimately achieved freedom for a country like India. It was an impossible and a daunting though. But he had faith in his dreams. He made the impossible, possible!
Research shows that people, who dream big, usually end up striking gold at the end. You might not always achieve what you set out to do, but such small failures should not stand between you and your dreams. Dream big – it is tax free any ways!
