Syllabus Review is your chance to run through all of the subject matter and ask any questions about anything that is unclear to you. Being in an intimate class environment, there are no stupid questions! You will be in a small class and you won’t feel embarrassed to ask for any help.
The workshop will focus on issues which have arisen from your pre-course questionnaire, as well as other areas which are potentially critical to your chances of success.
We cover ever part of the core syllabus and pointing out the areas which are likely to come up in the exam!
Exam technique is a great way for you to boost your confidence and become more positive about your exam. You will be taught a variety of methods that will help you boost your grades and will learn how examiners expect you to answer the questions to their standards and get the highest amount of marks possible.
You will also learn the difference between analytical and evaluative questions, as well as gain tips on achieving the highest possible marks in your exams.
Exam practice is your chance to see how you deal with being in an exam environment! After taking a mock exam, your teacher will sit with you and point out what areas need work, whether it is a certain area in the subject matter or the way you are answering your questions. Our teachers will be completely honest with their criticism and try to help you as much as they can.
After you have completed the IB revision course, your parents/guardians will receive a report from your teacher which will point out your strengths and weaknesses. This report will also contain feedback and advice on how you can keep up with your revision at home by helping you plan your own revision programme.
