Anal fissure is mostly a life style disorder. It happens due to constipation most of the times.
Fissures are small cut near anal area. In most cases it heals within one to two months that is called as acute fissure, but if it doesn’t heal within 2 months then it is called as chronic fissure. Both acute and chronic fissures are treated using medicines, in rare case chronic fissure requires surgery.
Treatment For Fissure
Home Remedies For Anal Fissure
 Home remedies for anal fisures include avoiding "sharp" foods that may not be well-digested (i.e., nuts, popcorn, tortilla chips); increase liquid intake, and, at times, take stool softeners. Sitz baths (essentially soaking in a tub of warm water). Sitz baths are encouraged, particularly after bowel movements, to relax the spasm, to increase the flow of blood to the anus, and to clean the anus without rubbing the irritated anoderm.
 Increasing your daily intake of fibre by including plenty of high-fibre foods in your diet, such as fruit, vegetables and whole grains.
 Avoiding dehydration by drinking plenty of water
 Trying to get more exercise – for example, by going for a daily walk or run
 Working out a place and time of day when you can comfortably spend time on the toilet
 Not delaying going to the toilet when you feel the urge
 if you use wet wipes, avoiding products that contain fragrance or alcohol as this could lead to discomfort or itching – if you use toilet paper, use a soft brand and avoid wiping too hard
 Soaking your bottom in a warm bath several times a day, particularly after a bowel movement, to relax the muscles in your anus.
