Blackhead and whiteheads are types of acne (known as comedones) but is not as big as a regular acne. Comedones and acne both result from overproduction of androgen which is most commonly known as male hormones for both amle and female during puberty. These hormones cause the sebaceous glands to produce oil and the oil then gets trapped in the pores along with dead skin cells and dirt. Bacteria then flourish and caused appearance of acne.

There is only one difference of whiteheads/blackheads from acne: the pus. Acnes have pus inside the skin that goes deep inside the pores while blackhead/whiteheads is just a trace of the infected skin pore. One article noted that whitehead is the infection that remains on top of the skin while a blackhead is an infection that got exposed and was oxidized that caused it to appear black.

Nowadays there are many remedies for comedones in the market. You can purchase one at any convenient store or drugstore in your place. All The Same, it would always be much better to consult a skin care expert to check it out. We have remedies ranging from home remedies to vitamins and much more. However, let us only discuss the three most common ways on how to treat comedones.

1.)Always remeber that comedones are caused by oil an ddirt and the only way to get rid of it is by practicing proper hygiene. Avoid scrubbing your face too much because it will destroy the upper layer of your skin.
2.) Many people have found out that benzoyl peroxide is very competent in getting rid of your acne and comedone problem. Benzoyl Peroxide dries out the pus or the left over bacteria inside the affected skin pore. You can see the effect right away if you clean your face first before applying the ointment. It can get rid of your comedone and acne problem in less than two weeks time if you continuously use it. Do remember that you have to seek a skin care specialist's approval before you can use a benzoyl peroxide ointment because it has certain percent to each ointment. It means that something might happen to your face if you put an ointment that has more benzoyl peroxide in it.
3.) Put in mind that comedones and acnes are just a part of a typical person's life. You can fight acne through constant practice of proper hygiene that is backed up with a stress- free life. Remember to gently clean your face before going to bed and once you wake up. Proper hygiene can actually do wonders.
