Once upon a time, in a frivolous festival, a group of dwarfs met a group of giants in the royal palace due to an invitation from the country’s ruler. The ruler wanted to know how he can transform the dwarfs of his country into giants so that the country could become more developed. Therefore, several matches between the giants and dwarfs in intelligence, skills, and knowledge were set up, with many judges evaluating each match according to their field of expertise. And in state of wonder from the ministers and curiosity from the ambassadors of the neighboring countries, the competition started.

As the competition between the dwarfs and giants started, the judges began taking notes to present them to the ruler of the country.

1

The dwarfs: their performance was incredibly weak, and they inflated the size of the giants, believing the giants were smarter and better than them. They thought that the skills and knowledge they had gained after years of hard work amounted to nothing compared to those of the giants.

The giants: they didn't just think they were smart; they also acted and spoke intelligently. They knew the value of their skills well, understanding that they were not only successful in what they did but truly superior.

Judges' notes: the dwarfs must understand that their performance was weak not because they lacked skill or intelligence compared to the giants, but because they failed to control their thoughts, emotions, and behavior in a positive way as the giants did.

2

The dwarfs: the dwarfs were chained by their fear of failure, their fear of success, and their fear of being dwarfs. As a result, they let every chance slip away, persistently defending their weakness with the phrase "We can't do it," arming themselves with weak excuses for not striving to win and score points. After every loss, they regretted the opportunities they had missed.

The giants: the word "fear" was crossed out of their dictionary, for they did not acknowledge the phrase "We can't do it" but rather asked, "How can we do it?" Whenever they made a mistake, they learned from it and rose again with greater strength and intelligence, achieving consecutive victories.

Judges' notes: the dwarfs must realize that fear kills their dreams and aspirations for something better, and that there is no way to become "giants" without overcoming their fears and allowing themselves to make mistakes – and even to repeat them – in order to learn, advance to a higher level of performance, score points and achieve victory.

3

The dwarfs: they were delusional, believing they did not deserve victory because of their small size and many faults. So every time a chance to win came their way, they cast it aside, thinking they did not deserve it and were unable to handle it.

The giants: deep inside, they knew they deserved the best, and that was reflected in their speech and actions. So every time they had a chance to score points and win, they seized it and appreciated it, thus becoming magnets for success.

Judges' notes: the big mistake the dwarfs make is that they diminish their own worthiness to win, which leads to low aspirations and a weak ability to seize opportunities for victory. If they had forgiven themselves and others mistakes and let go of their perfectionism, they would have been able to feel that they deserve success and self-respect.

4

The dwarfs: their inner voice was filled with defeatism and negativity, focusing on problems rather than solutions. For example, whenever they did not advance or score points in a match, they would tell themselves: "Why do I always lose? Why does this always happen to me and not to others? Why am I not appreciated?"

The giants: their inner voice was very different from of the dwarfs; it was positive and optimistic, always seeing the glass as half full, not half empty. For example, whenever they did not advance or score points in a match, they did not tell themselves what the dwarfs said. Instead, they asked: "What can I do to advance in the next match? Should I warm up more? Should I arrange my team more intelligently to avoid the mistakes that caused our failure?"

Judges notes: what is needed in the dwarfs to become giants is to make their inner voice optimistic, and to not care about their inner criticizer and to not give it any attention but to repel all the negative thoughts and to adjust it instead for optimistic and supportive thoughts that support their goals and what they want to achieve.

5

The dwarfs: they believed they were losers, so they lost in their minds before the match even started, suffering from depression and defeat due to their unjust judgment of themselves. They kept diminishing their own value, believing everything others thought and said about them — whether from their parents, teachers, bosses, colleagues, friends, or even strangers. They would confirm and agree with these opinions in their minds, suffering from them as if they were true.

The giants: they believed they were victorious, so a strong sense of optimism and hope filled them. They valued themselves properly and trusted only themselves, their abilities, and those worthy of their trust. The opinions of others were just opinions to them — not necessarily true — and thus easily dismissed. They won in their minds just as they won in the matches.

Judges' notes: if the dwarfs had rejected the negative programming they had been subjected to since childhood due to poor upbringing, and instead adopted the right mindset that made them believe in themselves and their ability to achieve what they wanted, and if they had paid no attention to criticism and self-diminishment but rejected it, they could have become the giants of their time and achieved the greatest feats.

And after a long-time waiting and worried faces anticipating the results, the results for the competition have finally appeared; and the shocking thing that surprised all of the attendance was that all of the dwarfs who chose to take the judges notes and improved themselves and their performance succeeded in becoming giants and won, and those who chose to ignore the judges notes stayed in their place at the back as dwarfs, where nobody noticed them till the festival has ended.

The ruler was now sure that his idea was right, since every human’s beginning was a dwarf, then changed with the right awareness and diligence and perseverance, believing in themselves and their abilities into becoming giants. People have always looked at giants with wonder, not realizing that they could be like them. So the ruler immediately announced a royal decree; to leave everything, for no civility is useful, and no economical fixes will work without developing the human! Instead of extracting petrol, extract the treasures of his abilities, instead of mineral cores, the authenticity and essence of the human core, these are the treasure that we can truly through them build our country on solid and strong foundations, and to reinforce the righteous manners and to plant true justice in the hearts of our citizens. If we do this, then everything after it would be easy to reach. For the secret that we’ve always been looking for is;

“Make strong and believing minds and souls with high determination, you make the giants of this time.”
