The curriculum at GTC ranges from nursing to computer technology, and from automotive technology to health based IT. With the availability of easy transfer of credits of associate’s degree to bachelor’s & master’s degree courses (in other universities of Georgia), GTC has made a sort of reputation for itself.

Along with the academic courses and programs, the college supports other forms of education as well. Continuing education and adult education, apart from work force training programs are supported by the GTC campus.

Accreditation

GTC is accredited by:

Admissions

Students can apply for admissions to GTC via the internet, apart from the conventional form filling (with the fees) at the campus. The procedure gets altered slightly for transfer students and international folks. Students who haven’t applied for general admission tests (like SAT, ACT, COMPASS, CPE etc) in the last 5 years have to apply for the college’s own admission test.

The financial aid available to students opting for courses at the Griffin Technical College range from grants to rehabilitation programs. Types of grants are as follows:

Federal Pell grant
HOPE grant
Veterans benefits
Financial assistance to disabled students (in association with Vocational Rehabilitation program)
Student loans are also available. The Financial Aid Office provides the necessary FAFSA forms; students who wish to apply for financial assistance need to do so in the month of January. The college supports the distance learning system, as well as the concept of weekend college.

All in all, not only technical career profiles but other career oriented programs are tailor made to suit the latest job related developments apart from getting a head start towards further education.
