There are many things that indicate this could be true. Have you tried everything in your power to lose weight only to find you were unhappy with the results? Have you tried every diet known to man and not seen the results you were hoping for? It is quite possible that you have been missing one key ingredient in your dieting strategy, a paradigm change.

You are most likely at this moment thinking, what is a paradigm any ways? Many people have asked themselves the same question. The simplest answer is that a paradigm is a person's beliefs and attitudes towards a particular dimension of their life. In many areas of one's life, a paradigm shift is necessary before someone can grow spiritually and succeed at what they are trying to accomplish.

Many people search for the quickest way to lose their excess weight only to be disappointed when it does not work. It may work for a short amount of time but in the end, you either end up gaining the weight back or had never lost it in the first place. If this sounds like a problem that you seem to face constantly it is possible that you are not allowing yourself to find the real reason why you gained the weight in the first place. It could be that a simple paradigm shift could be the answer to your dilemma.

Most people who find themselves in need of losing weight have the same story to tell. Throughout their entire life, they have subtly programmed themselves to put on weight in one way or another. They may have convinced themselves that it ran in their family so it was out of their control. Maybe they believe it is a medical condition that they cannot help. Whatever the reason somewhere along the way they formed a paradigm, or belief, about their weight problem. This is what needs to be addressed before you can be successful at a new understanding about your weight.

There are numerous emotional reasons a person might gain weight as well. It could be a sign of feeling insecure. People may use their weight as a reason to stay out of the spotlight and withdraw from people's attention. It could be as simple as a feeling of being unwanted or unloved. In some cases gaining weight is the result of something that happened in their past that even they may not be aware of. Regardless of the reason somewhere in a person's subconscious mind is a complication, and that issue needs to be addressed properly before a change can happen. This is where a shift in your paradigm could help you to achieve your weight-loss goals.

So can your paradigm be the reason you are over weight? The answer to that question is simple, yes! If you are subconsciously using your weight as a tool to try to fix other problems in your life, then you may be holding yourself back from reaching your weight loss goal. Changing your paradigm could help enormously with your weight problem. If you change your beliefs and attitude towards yourself and certain situations, and you can truly believe in your ability and reason to lose weight, you will be unable to fail.
