Abby Richter is played by Katherine Heigl and Mike Chadway is played by Gerard Butler. In the movie, both of them have strong personalities. Abby and Mike, each have very different views about life and love. They argue to the extent of verbally mistreating each other. At times, they also attract like a pair of magnets. The situation is such that Abby is the producer of a morning talk show and her career is on the slide due to negative ratings. Since it is her job to boost the ratings, she goes against her wishes and tries to bear Mike Chadway (who is at this point the only person who can save her show). If you like Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, you will love their on- screen chemistry and personalities even more.
