…And Mike Munchak fires him just after a day of becoming the coach. Mike Heimerdinger was diagnosed with cancer in November and is still continuing the treatment. Besides Mike, the new coach has also fired offensive assistant Richie Wessman and defensive assistant Rayna Stewart. The new Tennessee Titans coach, however, has said that it’s not about his health condition as he is feeling fine, but he made the decision because he feels that the team can benefit more from a different offensive coordinator. The Titans management said that they will continue to honor their agreement with the now former coordinator. According to the contract, Mike is under contract for 2011. When Mike Munchak was hired, FanIQ News directed to the relevant ABC News article, which quoted Mike saying “Change is coming.” In that regard, these new firings are not surprising. FanIQ.com, the world’s first online sports bars as well as the world’s most interactive sports website, surpassed 12 million registered users some days ago. About.com, the New York Times Company-owned online source for original information calls FanIQ as “a sports website by sports nuts for sports nuts”. It further says about FanIQ that FanIQ provides quick access to blog entries and videos about favorite teams of FanIQ users, and competition among the users via trivia and quizzes that show users’ sports IQ or “FanIQ”. FanIQ, in a nutshell, is social networking aimed at sports nuts. FanIQ is based in San Francisco, California, and is backed by VantagePoint Venture Partners, a leading venture capital firm in the U.S. having a large team of investment experts, an extensive network of advisors and strategic partners, and over $4.5 billion of committed capital.
