Career Change

For the past fifteen years I have worked for an online retailer of sports merchandise as a web designer. Unfortunately, due to the current financial climate, the company are down-sizing and I have lost my job. Consequently I have been browsing the job market at great length but have so far drawn a blank. There are a lot of positions advertised for sales or jobs based on a commission only basis but this is not practical for me as I have a fairly large mortgage. I need something with a guaranteed income. Somebody has suggested that I work freelance as an interim solution but I would have no idea of how to advertise myself or gain customers. I also see a lot of adverts promoting driving instructor franchises. Apparently it is a growing market sector and driving instructors are indeed in demand. Salaries would be inline with what I am already earning and I would be self employed. The initial layout is manageable with a weekly finance option of only £195! So what exactly do I get for my money? Included in the franchise is a dual controlled Alfa Romeo Cars Guildford car, insurance, free pupil referrals, freephone number to call centre, free accountancy services and business development manager. I am really going to give it some consideration as it could offer me a change in direction of career and the chance of a new business venture. I just hope that I have the necessary nerves of steel to teach people to drive. Fingers crossed.
