Pampering; taking care of your personal needs plays a major role in your capacity to take care of others to the best of your ability; and even more imperative than that is your own aptitude to care for yourself in such a wonderful manner.

Take a moment to ponder your past twenty four hours; think for just a few moments about how many things you did during that twenty four hour period that required you taking care of somebody else’s needs, wants or desires. Now:

•Grab a pen and your journal.
•Escape to a quiet, peaceful place in your home. The bathroom is a great escape destination.
•Make note of all the events that took place in the past 24 hours which involved you doing something for someone else.
•Remember all the tiny occasions along with the big events; note each and every one of them.
•When you have completed your list sit back and admire your ability to care for others.

When you have taken some time to revel in the amount that you do for others on a regular basis, pat yourself on your back and it is now time to move on. At this moment in time I would now like you to create a second list. This list will be made up of any and everything that you did in the past twenty four hours only for you, nobody else except yourself. Follow the same procedure as the first activity. When you reach the end of your list making, be sure to contemplate your array of events.

If you are like most Lovely Ladies who have participated in this activity, you more likely than not have created a massive list of what you did for others and a quite significantly smaller one when it comes to doing things for yourself. Think about how you could begin to create more space for you, consider small efforts in the self department and make it a point to create more balance between the two lists.
A self-cared for woman is a woman who is powerful and full of robust vigor for life.
