Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence. It is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection for satisfactory sexual activity. Erectile dysfunction is different from other conditions that interfere with male sexual intercourse, such as lack of sexual desire and problems with ejaculation and orgasm.
It is the main problem that is arising so fast in now a days and some people have trouble speaking with their doctors about sex. But if you have ED, you should tell your doctor, as this problem can take a serious turn. Erectile dysfunction can be a sign of health problems. It may mean your blood vessels are clogged. It may mean you have nerve damage from diabetes. If you don't see your doctor, these problems will go untreated.
Causes and risk factors of erectile dysfunctio
The most common cause of erectile dysfunction is damage to the tissues, either the arteries, nerves, muscles or fibrous tissue. Physical diseases account for around 70 per cent of cases of erectile dysfunction, including :
Cardiovascular disease (problems with the blood supply to the penis is by far the commonest cause of erectile dysfunction, especially in older men, smokers and those with high blood pressure - In fact erectile dysfunction may often be the first sign of serious heart or blood vessel disease). Diabetes, Kidney disease, Obesity, Nervous system condition such as multiple sclerosis (these are less common), Hormonal problems, which include for example an underactive thyroid gland, or hypopituitarism after head injury, brain haemorrhage or tumour treatment.

2) Cialis can decrease the blood flow to the optic nerve of the eye, causing sudden loss of vision.
3) No other Erectile Dysfunction (ED) medicine should be taken while taking Cialis.
4) Alcoholic drinks should be avoided if you are taking Cialis medicine.
5) Cialis should not be taken if the patient is on some Nitrate drug prescribed for chest pain.
6) Before taking this medicine yous should inform your doctor if you are suffering from heart disease or heart rhythm problems, a recent history of heart attack, a recent history of stroke or congestive heart failure (within the past 6 months), angina (chest pain), high or low blood pressure, liver disease, kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis)
a blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia, a bleeding disorder such as hemophilia
and a stomach ulcer
Before taking Cialis medicine you should inform your doctor or health care progessional if you are taking any prescription, non prescription and herbal medicine to avoid any serious drug interaction. Cialis medicine should not be used with the combination of following medicines isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, nitroglycerin, prazosin, or terazosin, cimetidine, cisapride, diltiazem, grapefruit juice, mibefradil, nicardipine, AIDS medicines, quinidine
rifabutin, rifampin or rifapentine.
